Etching Hill Women's Institute

Denman College is the WI's own Residential Adult Education College near Oxford, and was named after the first NFWI Chairman, Lady Denman. Denman is now open to B&B guests.

Many of our Members have attended courses and have always enjoyed the experience. The friendly, peaceful and comfortable atmosphere is an ideal setting in which to learn. The rich variety of courses, which last for 2, 3 or 4 days, is breathtaking and many students return again and again.

Some courses give you the chance to gain external recognition for your work through a franchise with Abingdon and Witney College. However for many, fulfilment comes solely from "learning for learning's sake"

Denman College also welcomes non WI members, both men and women. Offering many diverse courses there realy is a course to suit everyone.

Denman College offers:
First class Tutors, Day Schools, Taster Days.
Residential courses lasting 2, 3 or 4 days
Top class teaching facilities, small classes
Four Star hotel accommodation and service
Excellent food – all dietary needs
A safe, caring, environment
Bed & Breakfast or Full Board for a special break
The majority of the bedrooms are single, all with en suite facilities. There are two twin bedded rooms especially adapted for those with physical disabilities and their carers. All the bedrooms are beautifully decorated and lovingly maintained by the various Federations.
